Transplant on Hold

Dr. Levy just came by. He is so funny. I think we make him uncomfortable. He is always so skeptical. Even when I bring up the little progress we are making he just acts awkward. He is so nice to us though. He told us that they are putting Phil on hold right now. He is still on the status one list but on hold. Therefore, they will not be receiving any offers tonight. Dr. Levy said he just would have a difficult time justifying retransplanting Phil with where he is at right now, even if he got an 18 year old football player's liver. He said that with the continued progress over the past 36 hours, we should sit on it tonight and see how he continues to do. Praise God that He is indeed healing Phil's current liver. Please beg and plead that He will continue to do so for His glory. The doctors originally called Phil's case primary non-function which happens only 1-2 % of the time but are now confused to why it is functioning (maybe God???). They continue to call it that so he can be on the list but he said it would be better to call his case primary very, very poor function.

Praises for today-
Phil's liver is continuing to improve
He is down to 70 percent oxygen
His color is better
His ammonia level is decreasing
Kidneys doing well and dialysis taking off fluid
Byron our night nurse will be working tonight even though he didn't have to
No infection
He got his new bed to help rotate him to get the fluid off his lungs
He is only on one blood pressure medicine and they are still able to decrease it
God is moving in crazy awesome ways and is answering the crys of his people all over the world
We got rest-good rest (and showers too!!)
God's peace
