The lungs.....

The lungs continue to be an issue this morning. Overnight, they increased his FiO2 back to 70% but Robert has him back down to 60% already and he is tolerating it well. We want it down to 35%. They have kept him sedated and he is breathing more comfortably. Praise God that we are a little better this morning than we started off the day yesterday. Please continue to pray for God to heal Phil's lungs and that he would breath oxygen into him. They would really like for him to be off of the ventilator. In theory, he could be awake and off the ventilator and up on the transplant floor waiting for another liver. Continue to pray for God to heal this infection in his lungs and that it would not spread to the rest of his body.

They have continued him on dialysis today and his creatinine has come down to 2.6.

His INR today is 1.6 and that is without plasma so that is good. His bilirubin increased to 5.2. Unless God chooses to heal this liver, they still are waiting on a new liver.

I will post more of what the goals are for today once we speak with the surgeons.

  1. Everyone reading this please stop a say a prayer for Phil today. It seems to me that Phil's improvements have always come during times that God's people are praying for him. As a church body let's surround Phil and his entire family with prayer throughout the entire day. I also encourage you to write out your prayers, post them here, or send them to the family. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!

    In His Name,
