Stable/Slight Improvement Overnight

Good Morning. I made a promise to myself to post by 10AM even if I didn't have any news. So here it is.

Phil did well overnight. They were able to get his one blood pressure medication down to essentially nothing. Also, his PaO2 which was 62 yesterday, was 77 today. Praise God!! This is improved and in the right direction. They are leaving him where he is at today on his ventilator settings until after his tracheotomy placement tomorrow. They decided they are going to do that at the bedside at 10AM tomorrow morning. Dr. Osafu, lung doctor, said he wasn't going to make any changes or add new treatments until after the trach. He is looking at 2 experimental drugs and one therapy that they use in the neonatal intensive care unit in newborns. I am in the process of talking with a couple of other people trying to get their opinion. Praise God for how he is healing Phil's lungs. Continue praying that God would touch his lungs today. We thank him so much for the improvement since yestserday. Pray also for guidance/wisdom/discernment for the doctors as to if we should try these experimental medications/treatments.

Tammy shaved him this morning. He is clean shaven now!! She said it will be better for the trach. I will post more about the liver and such after we talk with the transplant surgeons. They usually round about 10:30ish.
