Lung Doctor

We just spoke with the lung doctor and they are currently doing the bronchoscopy. They know now that he has a pneumonia that they are treating, but they want to make sure he doesn't have any other sort of infection going on in his lungs. They will take some brush samples of fluid and culture it to see if anything grows.

Also, they think a lot of the difficulty with his lungs is coming from the underlying lung problems from his liver that he had before surgery. He said even with the perfect liver, these can take a while to reverse.

They changed their mind about waking him up and have decided to keep him sedated today and try to improve his oxygenation. We are so happy that Robert, his nurse, is back today. Will keep you posted as to any new news. Please keep praying for his lungs and against infection.
