Please pray for these families

We continue to meet new people in the waiting room and God is providing opportunities for us to speak with them, love on them, and pray with them.

Last night, Justin met a man and his wife who is 37 had a stroke. She can't speak and can't move the right side of her body. Her name is Demetrius Harris. Her mother's name is Carolyn. They have a very large family with many little babies and kids that are up here. Pray for their family and for Demetrius to regain function of her body and speech.

Pray for Etta. She is a lady who had back surgery several weeks ago and then had a heart attack and then something else happened that they can't figure out and she is in ICU. She had two good days and today is a rough day for them. One of her sons name is Charlie. Pray for this family that God would draw them to himself. I was excited today because we were able to talk with them. They have been pretty quiet and to themselves.

Today we saw a lady we met last week. Her name is Erma Allen. She has been here over a month with her husband, James Allen. James has throat cancer. He is the man I told you about earlier who they were able to put a muscle in his eye and he can see. They have been in and out of ICU for his cancer. They just took James back to surgery because he has an infection in his head and they are going to try to get some more of the cancer that has spread to the base of his skull and in his ear canal. She is waiting for him to be done with the surgery and be back in ICU. It has been so neat because her husband was so worried about her because she doesn't have any money for food. She told him not to worry that God would provide for her. Also, in the past she has had to wait out her husband's surgery by herself. She has been so thankful to God that she has had someone to sit with. She is now part of our family. We shared lunch with her and just rearranged the furniture so that we could all sit together. Beth just gave her some crossword puzzle books because she is so anxious and wanted something to do. We were able to spend time praying with her.
There is another man Randy, his wife is Sharon. She had a liver transplant in 1995 and now needs another liver. She has been on the list but now her kidneys are failing and they put her on dialysis. They took her off and are hoping her kidneys can hold their own. She is on hold right now for the liver.
There is a 19 year old, Joe Michael, who had viral meningitis and a seizure, in December. At that time he had a tracheotomy placed. They eventually were discharged home and he quit breathing suddenly. They brought him back and his trachea closed on him. They did surgery on him. They took the ventilator out and now he is on a face mask. They are going to go back to look at his trachea and make sure everything looks good.
Some more verses sent by a friend that I wanted to share.
Please pray this verse over us.
Ephesians 6:19-20 "Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should."
Romans 8:35,37 "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us." Nothing can separate us from Christ's love.

Psalm 40:1-3 "I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; he set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear and put their trust in the LORD." Our prayer is that God would lift Phil out of this pit and put a song of praise to God in his mouth and that many will see and put their trust in the Lord.

I also wanted to share these pictures with you. As I mentioned before, Justin has been working with the students at Cornerstone Crossroads Academy in Dallas building a robot for their upcoming national robot competition. Today is the big day where they have to put the robot in a crate and FedEx comes and picks it up. The kids were able to decorate the crate and they decided to dedicate it to Phil hence the "4 Phil" on the crate. The day before his transplant, Phil went and worked with the kids on the robot. Ron Harris, a member of The Oaks, has also helped the kids build the robot and helped build the crate last Saturday.
