Baby steps of progress

Hi to all! This is Beth-with my first attempt to create a blog. God has been so gracious and has done, is doing and will continue to do so many wonderful and unbelievable things. He is at work. All of Phil's vitals and numbers continue stable and slowly going in the right direction. This morning he looks much pinker than before and looks good. His nurses don't seem to understand but we all know this is God at work. He has gotten rid of 4 liters of fluid from the dialysis and the wonderful workings of his kidneys. He needs to get rid many more liters. He is now on 90% oxygen and they want to continue lowering that. They have called in a lung doctor to consult. This is the concern now. They had another offer of a liver last night but it was a bad liver according to the doctor. Please pray specifically for Phil's lungs, that they can lower the amount of oxygen being given and the pressure they are putting into his lungs. for the removal of the fluid and for the doctors as they need discernment about keeping this liver or transplanting a new one. We trust God that for a healthy liver. Please pray for Phil's mom and sister as they wait in South Carolina. Thank you for your continued support. Please pray for Justin, Melanie and Kristin as they are sharing so much of themselves! Melanie is sleeping. She is the one that keeps the blog going with the medical stuff. Pray that Justin can sleep today. He took the night shift and is still up. Please pray for William. He had surgery last night for cancer of the ear. Pray for his wife that broke her knee cap a couple of days ago and can not get it fixed now because of her husband's surgery. We continue to meet so many people in need. Pray that we will be sensitive to their needs and that we can be used in their lives.
